Entrance Age
A child entering kindergarten must be five years of age
on or before September 30 of the current school term. A child
entering first grade must be six years of age on or before September
30 of the current school term. As of the 1993-94 school year, the
child must
have attended an approved kindergarten prior to enrollment
in first grade. A transfer student who has been legally
enrolled in first grade in another state may be admitted
if he/she will be six years of age no later than December
31 of the current school year.
