Combined State and Local Teachers' Salary Scale

This scale is for certified teachers for a school term of 200 days.

This salary scale includes any increases incorporated in the Tennessee State annual salary schedule for certified teachers.

Local salary supplements are included in this schedule in accordance with TCA 49-3-306.

If a Knox County Schools' employee terminates his employment with Knox County Schools by providing notice 90 contract days prior to his intended retirement date, the employee will be paid $100 per day for each unused sick leave day up to a maximum of his annual salary. In the event that notice of intention to retire is provided by fewer than 90 contract days, he will be paid $60 per day for each unused sick leave day (not to exceed his annual contract amount).
