  Center School Class is Largest Ever

 

The Center School Class of 2002, the largest in the school’s thirteen-year history, will graduate at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16 at First Christian Church, 211 West Fifth Avenue.

During the 2001-2002 school year, 97 students have earned regular high school diplomas from The Center School fulfilling all course and credit requirements of the State of Tennessee and Knox County Schools.

The 2002 commencement address will be given by Mr. Leroy Thompson, Executive Director of Wesley House and former football standout at Austin-East, Penn State, and in the National Football League.

Valedictorian for the Class of 2002 is Rebecca Webster, and salutatorian is Kristen McCollum. Members of the class will be available to talk with the media before and after the ceremony.
