The Superintendent of Knox County Schools completed the last of nine
principal appointment actions for the coming school year yesterday.
The principal appointments made by Dr. Charles Lindsey were necessitated
by retirements, transfers and other personnel actions impacting several
of Knox County Schools 77 elementary, middle and high school principals.
This is not an unusual year for principal moves, said Betty
Sue Sparks, Knox County Schools Human Resource Director. A single
retirement or resignation can generate a number of principal moves as
filling one open position often creates an additional opening. Our goal
throughout the process is to ensure we have the strongest administrative
team that we can create at each school. We are really happy with these
assignments, and we look forward to the coming school year.
The new principal assignments are:
Central High, School Jon Miller
Farragut Middle School, Dick Dalhaus
Hardin Valley Elementary School, Karen Milani
Lonsdale Elementary School, Lisa Light
Maynard Elementary School, Brenda Reliford
