What is Partners in Education? The Partners in Education program (PIE) is designed to create a close working relationship between a community partner and a school or specific program within the Knox County School System. The purpose of the program is to enrich and extend the educational opportunities of our students while fostering a deeper understanding of the school system within the community. Through the establishment of personal relationships between community representatives and educators, we will strive to create a spirit of involvement that positively impacts our area. This involvement helps develop the local school environment into a powerful educational setting where the community is actively working with schools. The Partners in Education program encourages our community to take a greater interest in the Knox County School System. The program opens the school doors to the community while also taking students and educators out of classrooms and into the world. The economic health of our region depends upon our efforts to provide the highest quality education for Knox County's students. The Partners in Education program provides a mechanism to cooperatively prepare our students to succeed in a challenging and ever-changing world.
